Full Context is
an internationally-distributed newsletter that presents the politics,
the principles, and the people behind the recent explosion of interest
in Objectivist thought, and of the Renaissance of individualism surrounding
it. Regular features include revealing, personal interviews with many
of the leading personalities in the Objectivist and free-market movements—from
the academics to the artists, to the political pundits.
From time to time,
we discover people of remarkable courage or integrity who are not Objectivists,
but who have important things to say or inspiring stories to tell—especially
if they are ignored or attacked by the mainstream media.
We also regularly
feature original, provocative essays that engage both theoretical and
practical applications of Objectivist ideas. Letters, books reviews,
movie reviews, shorter opinion pieces, etc.,are also published regularly.
Full Context is
a publication for Objectivists around the world—thus it's descriptor
"An International Objectivist Publication." By "Objectivist"
we don't mean "true believer." We mean someone who accepts
Objectivism as providing the basic framework of assumptions and methods
necessary for finding truth, goodness, and beauty during his time on
Earth, and who identifies with the principles and values of Objectivism
more than those of any other codified system of belief. Our editorial
policy does not require that articles appearing in Full Context contain
100% "pure" Objectivism; articles in Full Context typically
venture reinterpretations, applications, extensions, and reapprasials
of Objectivist positions.

"Ayn Rand left us a
magnificent system of ideas. But it is not a closed system.
It is a powerful engine of integration. Let us not starve
it of fuel by shutting our minds to what is good in other
approaches. Let us test our ideas in open debate. If we are
right, we have nothing to fear; if we are wrong, we have something
to learn. Above all, let us encourage independent thought
among ourselves. Let us welcome dissent, and the restless
ways of the explorers among us."

and Toleration

We at Full Context
think that you have to take these words of David Kelley seriously if
you value the advancement of Objectivism. And you have to value the
advancement of Objectivism if you value the enrichment of the philosophical
foundations of liberty. More than any other Objectivism-oriented publication
currently in print, Full Context is the forum where Professor Kelley’s
exhortation is heeded.
